We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Storage Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in a wide range of storage technologies and systems, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a global team environment.
What You'll Do
* Design, implement, and manage storage solutions using IBM Storage Scale (GPFS), Storage Protect (TSM), Spectrum Archive, Dell/EMC PowerScale (Isilon), Unity, PowerVault, Brocade and Cisco SAN switches, IBM V7000 and tape libraries, and NetBackup.
* Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability of storage systems.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate storage solutions with Linux, Windows, VMware and AWS environments.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
* Document processes, procedures, and best practices, ensuring knowledge sharing across the team.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage-related issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.
What You'll Bring
* Extensive experience managing, supporting and troubleshooting:
o IBM Storage Scale (GPFS), Storage Protect (TSM), Spectrum Archive
o Dell PowerScale (Isilon), Unity, PowerVault storage systems
o Brocade and Cisco SAN switches
o IBM V7000/V5000 storage systems
o Veritas NetBackup
* Proficiency in Linux, Windows, and AWS environments
* Strong Bash and Python scripting skills, with a focus on automation
* Experience with Prometheus, Grafana and Zabbix monitoring tools
* Experience with Docker
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work efficiently within a global team.
* Proven experience in mentoring junior team members.
* Effective documentation skills, with a focus on process and procedure standardization.
