About the role:
Ink is seeking a Senior Content Editor to oversee the development and launch a new monthly title for a leading European airline, with a readership of up to 7 million people.
This senior appointment will drive content across print, digital and video. You must have the capacity to lead a team, exercise sound judgement, have excellent writing abilities, and pay close attention to detail to be successful in this role.
The Role:
* Stakeholder management: manage senior relationships, championing great content and sharing trends and best practices.
* Team leadership: guide and support editors/sub editors and shape the development of the editorial department.
* Content commissioning: Identify expert contributors, oversee the commissioning process and manage budgets.
* Content calendar ownership: Manage a monthly content calendar aligned with core objectives and KPIs.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with creative department, sales teams, video teams for diverse, impactful content.
You will:
* Manage a team of editors, sub editors and freelance writers.
* Manage and improve the editorial standards, own the editorial calendar and production.
* Managing the production workflow
* Influence strategic direction, roadmaps, and crucial KPIs for the organisation by collaborating with larger marketing, research, commercial, and product teams.
We're excited if you have:
* Possess several years of relevant experience working in editorial, media production, or both.
* Possess knowledge of managing a team and setting priorities for assignments.
* Client facing experience.
* Possess excellent communication skills both orally and in writing.
* Are detail-oriented & able to meet the deadlines of the organization.
* Demonstrable experience in fostering collaboration and increasing impact by ensuring journalism reaches audiences across borders and language.
* Proven track record in managing, directing and motivating staff, including in challenging and high-pressured environments.
