An exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Alcohol Specialist Nurse RN has become available to cover maternity leave.
The alcohol specialist nurse team based at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital is an integral part of the department of gastroenterology. Here at LUFT, we provide nurse-led outpatient services to the local population, support and liaise with community partners, and refer patients to specialist services.
This post would suit a Registered Nurse with at least 12 months of experience working in an acute hospital. Working with this complex patient group requires good clinical skills and a positive, caring attitude. Evidence of working autonomously is essential.
The post will be supervised directly by the Clinical Lead Nurse and managed by the Alcohol Team Lead. Responsibilities include treating patients with alcohol dependence, liver disease, and cognitive impairment in nurse-led clinics. There will also be opportunities to undertake specialist procedures such as fibro scanning. The team will support your training, education, and development.
This is a rewarding post for the right candidate. You are encouraged to arrange an informal visit with the Clinical Lead or Team Manager prior to interview.
Please contact Alcohol Care Team Leads Mandy Smith or Elaine Lewis at 0151 706 3283 for further information.
