Job Description
We are looking for a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer to work on a permanent basis in Southampton.The role will be covering from Midlands to South areas.Salary is c£35-45,000 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, pension, overtime, healthcare etc.The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer Role You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems installed within mobile medical units. The role involves nationwide travel across healthcare sites, ensuring systems remain fully operational and compliant.Key Responsibilities for the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on: Split air conditioning systemsCold water chiller systemsAir handling units (AHUs)Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) inspections on mobile medical unitsDiagnose and repair refrigeration and HVAC faults efficiently to minimise downtimeCarry out leak detection, refrigerant handling and refrigeration system repairsRead and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manualsComplete service reports and compliance documentation accuratelyTravel to NHS and private healthcare facilities across the South of EnglandParticipate in a 24-hour on-call rota for breakdown supportAssist with installations, commissioning and upgrade projects where requiredMaintain company tools, testing equipment and company vehicleCarry out additional engineering duties within your competency levelCandidate Requirements for the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer Applicants should have previous experience within refrigeration and HVAC service engineering and be comfortable working independently in the field.Essential skills and experience include:Proven refrigeration and HVAC maintenance and fault-finding experienceExperience working with: Split AC systemsChillersAHUsF-Gas Category 1 certificationNVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalentStrong understanding of refrigeration components and diagnosticsGood understanding of health & safety proceduresFull UK driving licenceStrong communication and customer service skillsWillingness to travel across the South of EnglandDesirable:Field service/mobile engineer experienceCity & Guilds qualification in Refrigeration & Air ConditioningExperience within healthcare or commercial environmentsHow to apply for the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer Please call Rebecca at Simply Recruitment Group or press APPLY NOW!TPBN1_UKTJ
