About the Role & Team

A Senior Software Engineer on the Cloud Account Management (CAM) team is a security-focused cloud engineer responsible for designing, building, and supporting automation and tooling initiatives that further enable secure, compliant, self-service ways of working for both the team and the developer base. This position will report to the Engineering Manager and will interact with other Software Engineers in the Cloud Account Management (CAM) team.

The Production Platform Foundations team is a horizontal service team providing both tools and guidance across the organization for operations in AWS. We strive to act as a productivity multiplier, providing consulting and operational support to Application teams to help them drive their adoption of AWS services in conjunction with their existing infrastructure. We work closely with those groups to offer a 'cloud-native' perspective on application architecture, infrastructure, and deployment strategies.

What You Will Do

1. Champion and execute best practices and security standards foroperatingin the cloud

2. Troubleshoot and implement granular, least-privilege IAM permissions for user access and workloads running in multi-tenant AWS accounts

3. Understand user access into AWS workloads, and troubleshoot issues with SSH and SSM as access methods

4. Provision, monitor, renew, and own SSL certificates acrossallour AWS accounts

5. Provide guidance and recommendations to development teams on service design and deployments

6. Own initiatives and contribute to future solution designs and planning

7. Be a go-to technical resource on the team, spanning across levels and cross functional teams

8. Monitor and work on inbound issues reported via Jira, email, and MS Teams

Required Qualifications & Skills

9. 5+ years of AWS experience

10. 3+ years of hands-on AWS Security/IAM administration and policy-creation experience for many users and workloads where least privilege is key

11. 3+ years of experience with deployment and CI/CD tools - Terraform, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, and Jenkins are a plus

12. 3+ years of writing software to create tooling and automate away routine tasks and deployments

13. Experience with Unix/Linux systems

14. You'repractical and personable, with a succinct communication style and the ability to communicate with engineers

15. Familiarity with operational troubleshooting tools and techniques

16. AWS Certifications

17. 2+ years of experience supporting DevOps teams in mid-to-large-sized organizations, especially in multitenant environments

18. Familiarity with SSL Certificate management

19. Familiarity with general and AWS-specific networking concepts, including VPC constructs, Firewalling, complex routing, and DNS
