4C Executive Placement is representing a leading software development company as it seeks to appoint its first ever Sales Director. With a 10 year strategic plan in place, with the ambition to double turnover in the next three years, the company is investing in new capabilities, expanding its leadership team and scaling its impact. Working closely with the Managing Director and wider team, the Sales Director will develop and execute a high-impact sales and business development strategy. The successful candidate will build and lead a new sales team, oversee the entire business generation process, and own the companys overall revenue targets. The role holder will bring a strong consultative sales approach and will be a self-motivated, results driven person, ideally with experience within the custom software development industry, and with a track record of delivering high value B2B sales. They will be a credible sales leader with excellent people skills, being able to build strong, long-lasting professional relationships. This is an exciting new role for someone who is ready to be the leader of the sales function. The Sales Director will also have: Extensive experience leading, managing and scaling sales team. Proven track record of achieving both self and team sales targets. Strong background in consultative selling, ideally for complex, tailored software solutions with responsibility for the full sales cycle, from lead generation to close deals. Deep understanding of B2B sales processes, including enterprise and mid-market client engagement. Strategic mindset with hands-on execution ability. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Proven successful experience of managing budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
