Tor View School is a very special school that enables young people with with Autism, trauma related interruptions, communication needs and learning difficulties to access an appropriate curriculum in a wonderful environment in the heart of Devon. With typical class sizes of 4 we are able to provide the care, attention, time and dedication to all of the young people to enable them to access education and reach their individual goals and aspirations.

Key areas of responsibility:
* Planning and preparation of outdoor programme delivery and/or indoor based training sessions where necessary.
* Delivery of activities for which you hold the appropriate qualifications, or for which you have been in-house assessed, and assisting alongside staff of a relevant level of qualification or experience.
* Instruct a class of young people and ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs.
* Promoting and enabling social development opportunities and preparing for adulthood skills.
* To incorporate a creative approach to the learning, which includes an understanding of the curriculum with theme-based approaches and timely interventions.
* Have experience of using recognised and appropriate teaching practices for our students who have Special educational needs (SEN)
The successful candidate will ideally have the required qualifications to lead one or more of the following:
* Moorland and or mountain walking
* Water sports
* Climbing
* Cycling
* Land/Forest skill activities.
