LEAD IBA MRF OPERATIVE
Hourly Rate – £15.00
Hours – 45 hours per week, 6:30am to 16:00pm
Location – Whisby Landfill, LN6 9BT
As a Lead IBA MRF Operative at FCC Environment, you will take ownership of the IBA MRF facility, ensuring safe, efficient operations and providing day to day leadership for IBA MRF Operatives. You will oversee the picking line and plant performance, drive strong housekeeping and safety standards, and maximise the effective recovery of materials.
This vacancy is for a full time position, working 5 days per week.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
• Ensuring safe working practices, correct use of tools/equipment and compliance with all site safety rules
• Manning and overseeing the picking line to ensure effective recovery of non ferrous metals and unburnt waste
• Providing day to day direction and delegating tasks to IBA MRF Operatives
• Maintaining a clean, well organised facility, including clearing blockages and managing IBA bleed piles
• Monitoring output quality and supporting high plant availability through preventative maintenance
• Controlling the movement of metals and aggregates and maintaining accurate records
• Conducting IBAA sampling in line with approved protocols
• Locking off plant during maintenance and ensuring safe operation at all times
• Working with Plant Operations to identify and resolve feedstock issues
• Seeking opportunities to maximise metals revenue
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
• Experience on a waste acceptance site, landfill operation or IBA processing facility
• Experience working with waste processing equipment
• Relevant heavy plant tickets (e.g. Telehandler, Tractor, Bowser)
• Willingness to complete required and ongoing training
• Strong focus on safety and following safe systems of work
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Reliable, hardworking and able to use own initiative
• Professional, respectful and inclusive in your approach
