The Seeds School is looking for an individual with passion and experience in any of the following areas construction, carpentry, bricklaying, design technology to join a friendly team in a mixed SEND School providing support for 14-16-year-old students.
The Seeds School is an Independent School aimed at supporting students with a primary need of SEMH at Key Stage 4. Our School boasts excellent vocational facilities including Construction, Hairdressing, Catering and Physical Education. We have a fantastic and dedicated team.
The successful candidate will most importantly have experience in the trade. Teacher training and appropriate qualifications can be given to the right candidate, so experience in the classroom is beneficial but not a requirement.
You will plan and deliver active, creative and engaging lessons and will contribute to the classroom experience of our talented and enthusiastic learners, within a hardworking team with high standards. As a highly engaged and motivated tutor, you will have a genuine desire to improve the life chances of our learners.
The successful candidate will be required to complete, lesson plans, SOW, assessments, learner reports, complete assessments and assignment briefs.

* Experience of working with SEN/behavioural students
* An understanding and competence of Quality Assurance in Construction
* An ability to follow and create a scheme of work, lesson plans, and assessments
* Teaching Qualification; PTLLS, DTLLS, CTLLS, PGCE, QTS (or equivalent)
Desirable Requirements
* Assessors award
* Ideally 2+ years as Construction Tutor
Responsibilities Include
-Teach and help learners with practical assignments across varying construction trades.
-Providing tutorial and pastoral support to students across the Centre.
-Provide guidance in a classroom style setting.
-Assist with the assessment and monitoring of students.
-Complete all administrative work concerned with the assessments to required standards.
-An understanding of and commitment to the welfare and safety of children
