Role: Engineer (Residential)
Location: Yorkshire
Salary: £60,000/£65,000 + Package
As an Engineer, you will:
1. Provide technical/engineering support to the land/development team to assist during feasibility studies and lead in the preparation of site viability reports in line with current regulatory requirements for residential development.
2. Identify the need for external consultants, agree fees, the scope of service capability, timescales and deliverability.
3. Manage relationships with consultants to ensure the flow of information is within the agreed timescales and in accordance with, and on schedule with the programme and in line with the National Housebuilding council standards.
4. Be aware of and act upon commercial implications relating to planning & architectural design; civil & structural engineering design; geotechnical & ground remediation strategies; statutory services - new supplies & diversions.
5. Assist in the process of tendering for, setting-up and establishing on site management companies, whilst implementing the group procedures and ensuring all legal aspects in relation to various agreements.
6. Interact with internal departments, consultants, suppliers and sub-contractors as necessary in order to achieve Building Regulations and warranty approval and satisfactory conditions discharge.
