The Role
As a Compliance Officer, you'll ensure every educator meets the standards set out by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
Safeguarding and compliance are at the heart of everything we do. In this non-sales role, you'll work closely with our Candidate Resourcers and Consultants to clear candidates quickly, safely and to the highest standard.
What You'll Do
* Complete full compliance checks in line with REC and KCSIE standards
* Verify ID, right-to-work status, DBS checks, references, and qualifications
* Keep candidate records organised, accurate and audit-ready
* Monitor compliance files to ensure continuous adherence to standards
* Support candidates through the clearance process with professional communication
* Collaborate with Consultants and Resourcers to make cleared staff available to schools quickly, whilst ensuring all safeguarding requirements are met
* Contribute to audits and highlight process improvements
What You'll Bring to Educato
* Knowledge of education or health and social care compliance
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Clear understanding of safeguarding principles and commitment to child protection
* Ability to interpret and apply compliance policies, procedures and guidelines
* Professional, clear written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to liaise with candidates effectively
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data systems
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience in compliance, safeguarding, HR or education recruitment
* Knowledge of REC guidance and KCSIE
* Audit or record-keeping experience
Location & Hours
* Full-time, permanent role Monday–Friday – 9.00AM – 17.00PM
OR
as an alternative 7.00AM – 17.00PM then during school holidays 9.00AM – 2PM or similar.
* Based at our Eccles, Manchester office (close to the M60 and M62 and well-connected public transport links)
* Hybrid working available after probation
