Outwood Academy Adwick is an 11–18 academy based just north of the large, friendly, South Yorkshire city of Doncaster.
We have been a member of the Outwood Family since 2009, and in our 2023 Ofsted inspection, the academy was graded Good in all categories. The inspection noted ‘the school has a supportive and caring culture. Staff build warm and friendly relationships with pupils. Pupils achieve their full potential. Staff are proud to work at the school'.
We have also won numerous awards as a school, and we have been accredited with the prestigious IQM Award in addition to being an IQM Centre of Excellence for three years, which highlights that inclusion at all levels is of paramount importance to us. We are also proud to have been awarded Silver Status by the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health Award.
Outwood Academy Adwick seeks applications from professional individuals for this key role. We are looking for an individual who has high aspirations for students, who is committed and passionate about learning, who has the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and who shares our single goal of ‘Students First’.
The role of Teaching Assistant across our Academy is to promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with statements of special educational needs, under the direction of the class teacher.
Hours: 30.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30 am – 3.00 pm, term time plus 3 days.
