Overview
Tailor Made Programme (TMP) is seeking professional, dedicated and enthusiastic Sessional Teaching Assistants to join a bank of Teaching Assistants and to be part of our supportive team. TMP provides short-term, child-centred programmes planned and overseen by qualified teachers. Sessions may be delivered by a teacher or teaching assistant and can be in person and/or online. Referrals can be made to TMP from other agencies and services, and from schools where a child has been absent for more than 15 days, or who is temporarily without a school place or waiting for an agreed placement, or where there are other factors which make school attendance difficult.

Responsibilities
* Supporting pupils with their learning, providing individualized support to pupils with SEND, including those with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language needs.
* Assisting the teacher in delivering differentiated learning activities.
* Building positive relationships with pupils to promote self-esteem and independence.
* Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff to provide the best possible support.
* Assisting with the preparation of learning resources.
* Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the teacher.
* Supporting students with social and emotional development.
Skills and Experience
* A calm, patient and empathetic approach to working with children who may have additional or complex needs.
* Basic understanding of the school curriculum and SEN.
* Experience in supporting students with SEND, or a willingness to develop skills in this area.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
