Salary & package dependant on experience: DOE ITS Construction Professionals South are searching on behalf of a respected main contractor specialising in the delivery of construction projects across the South East. With a strong pipeline of secured work and an excellent reputation for quality and safety, they are now looking to appoint an experienced SHEQ Manager to oversee health, safety, environmental and quality compliance across multiple projects.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee and manage all SHEQ activities across multiple construction projects
Conduct site audits, inspections and risk assessments
Develop and implement safety policies, procedures and training programs
Investigate incidents and provide detailed reports and corrective actions
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards
Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to promote a proactive safety culture
Support project teams with pre-start meetings, method statements and RAMS reviews
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Previous experience as a SHEQ or H&S Manager within the construction industry (main contracting background preferred)
Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and construction standards
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential)
Experience with ISO management systems and audit processes
Excellent communication and leadership skills
