Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level History
* Foster a classroom environment that encourages debate, critical thinking, and independent research
* Prepare students for success in public examinations and university applications
* Support enrichment activities such as history clubs, debating societies, essay competitions, and educational trips
* Contribute to the wider life of the school through pastoral responsibilities and co-curricular involvement
Person Specification
Essential:
* A strong academic background with a degree in History or a related discipline
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* Experience teaching History across KS3 KS5, ideally in a selective or independent setting
* A passion for engaging boys in academic discussion and historical thinking
* Excellent communication skills and high standards of professionalism
Desirable:
* Experience with Oxbridge/academic extension programmes
* Interest in leading trips, clubs, or competitions related to History
* A keen interest in boys education and the unique ways boys learn and thrive
