About the Role:
* Job Type: Temporary/supply position, with potential for ongoing work
* Location: School nursery in Walker, Newcastle
* Hours: Flexible shifts available – term-time only
Key Responsibilities:
* Support children's development in line with the EYFS framework
* Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that inspire learning
* Work closely with the class teacher and nursery team to meet individual needs
* Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and independence
* Build strong communication with children, staff, and parents
* Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements:
* Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent)
* Previous experience in an early years setting, ideally within a school nursery
* Solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Warm, flexible, and professional approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
