Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of food service management, team management, and operational efficiency to ensure a high-quality dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff supervision, inventory control, and budgeting.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of food handling and preparation.
* Train, develop, and mentor staff in areas such as cooking techniques, customer service, and POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS).
* Oversee shift management to ensure smooth service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
* Handle cash management and financial transactions accurately.
* Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
* Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new team members.
* Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock for food production and catering events.
* Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
* Implement training programs focused on culinary skills, hospitality management, and leadership development.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food industry.
* Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management with experience in both quick service & fast food restaurants as well as fine dining establishments.
* Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS).
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
* Experience in budgeting, inventory control, and financial reporting within a restaurant setting.
* Strong customer service orientation with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
* Previous experience in training & development of staff is preferred.
