Early Years Practitioner / Teaching Assistant – Level 3 2 Posts Available: 1 x Fixed Term (in the first instance) and 1 x Maternity Cover (Until 31st July 2026) Contract Type: Term Time Only Salary: Level 3 Hourly Rate £13.26 - £13.47 Working Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 30 hours per week (8.30am – 3.30pm) Start Date: February 2026 We are seeking two passionate Early Years Practitioners or Teaching Assistants to join our ‘Outstanding’ Early Years team. In this role, you will be a key worker in Nursery or Reception and will be responsible for creating engaging, high-quality learning experiences through play and interaction alongside the Early Years teachers. Key Responsibilities: Act as a key worker. Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences through play and interaction. Observe, assess, and record children’s progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues to support children’s development and wellbeing. Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment. Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, intimate care, and transitions. Contribute to planning meetings and continuous improvement initiatives. Is committed to ongoing professional development and training. Qualifications and Experience : A relevant qualification (such as a Level 3 Childcare, Teaching Assistant or NNEB) is desirable. A good general standard of education including GCSE English and Maths to Grade C or equivalent. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential.
