We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join our team with Lovell’s Midlands region based out of our Quinton office. Reporting to the Regional Commercial Director, this role will support our continued growth and will allow us to compete when bidding within the Social Housing Refurbishment Sector. The key duties of the role are: * Assisting the Regional Commercial Directors and Regional Refurbishment Director in the vetting of bid documentation. * Carrying out site visits to gain full appreciation of the scale, scope and risks of the works to be tendered. * Providing timely and accurate estimates and pre acquisition studies, whilst assessing the commercial and operational risks associated with tenders, alongside the potential commercial scope. * Maintaining an updated cost base by regular review of market prices with post contract teams * Actively participating in the initial and final adjudication meetings Candidates will ideally have previous experience within an estimating role within the Social Housing or related industries. You will have excellent knowledge of contracts and pricing levels along with construction materials, methods and technologies. Strong negotiation skills are key, and you will be methodical, analytical and organised, with excellent written and verbal communication and IT / system skills.
