GCU is a provider of infrastructure services, delivering expert solutions across telecoms, utilities and civil engineering. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and organised Administrator to join our team at our Bellshill office.
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm, offering the opportunity to play a key role in supporting operational delivery across a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
The Role
As an Administrator within GCU, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth coordination and tracking of works across our operational systems. You will issue job packs to field teams, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and complete. You will regularly update internal systems with the progress of works, ensuring real-time data is maintained.
A core part of the role will involve uploading and attaching relevant documents and photographic evidence to the AFS system in line with company and client requirements. You will track the completion of works, ensuring all stages are recorded correctly, and support the close-out process of notices and jobs to ensure compliance and accuracy. The role requires close attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within strict deadlines.
What We Expect of You
We expect you to demonstrate a proactive and professional approach to your work, taking ownership of tasks and ensuring they are completed accurately and on time. You will be comfortable working in a structured environment where processes and systems are central to day-to-day operations.
Strong organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage time critical demands. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with operational teams, ensuring information flows effectively between office and field-based staff. A high level of attention to detail is critical to ensure all documentation and system updates meet required standards.
Reliability and consistency are key, along with a willingness to learn and adapt within a growing and evolving business.
What You Will Bring
You will bring previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within construction, facilities management, utilities or a related sector where job tracking and system management are central to operations. Experience working with management or workflow systems will be highly beneficial.
You will have strong IT skills and be confident using databases and document management systems to update records, upload documentation and monitor progress. Experience of working with systems such as AFS, Noticing or similar platforms would be advantageous.
You will demonstrate excellent organisational abilities, a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality administrative support will be essential to your success in this role.
