The Role
We are recruiting for a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Stourbridge, who are looking to appoint a Qualified Senior Audit Associate to join their growing audit team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys managing audits from planning through to completion, while also supporting and developing junior members of the team. You’ll be working with a varied client portfolio across multiple sectors and will have regular exposure to client-facing responsibilities.
Please note: This role requires previous experience working within a UK accounting firm / chartered accountancy practice.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and perform audit assignments from planning through to completion
* Carry out audit fieldwork and ensure compliance with UK auditing standards
* Prepare financial statements under FRS 102 from clients’ trial balances
* Review financial statements and supporting schedules
* Supervise, support and coach junior team members on audit engagements
* Act as a key point of contact for clients, resolving queries efficiently
* Identify improvement opportunities and provide value-added recommendations
* Attend client premises for on-site audits as required
Requirements
* ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
* Proven audit experience within a UK accountancy practice (essential)
* Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
* Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
* Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
* Competent with audit software and Microsoft Office
* Experience using iRIS for accounts preparation is desirable
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites
