This is a fantastic opportunity for a Design/Technical Coordinator to join a fast-growing specialist contractor working on large-scale façade remediation and recladding projects across London.
Are you a Design Coordinator with strong technical understanding looking to take ownership of façade remediation projects from pre-construction through to delivery? Are you looking to join a growing contractor where you can play a key role in project delivery and long-term company growth?
This specialist building envelope contractor provides tested and bespoke façade solutions to the UK market, offering consultancy, design coordination, and engineering support alongside procurement and installation services. The business focuses on refurbishment and remediation works, working across high-rise residential blocks, commercial buildings and large-scale recladding schemes.
In this role, you will coordinate the process from project award through to construction status, ensuring technical submissions are correct, compliant and ready for Building Safety Regulation requirements. You will liaise closely with fire engineers, structural engineers, CDM advisors and external design houses, while working internally with the commercial and construction teams to ensure designs are aligned with programme and budget constraints.
Responsibilities
* Coordinating façade remediation design packages from tender through to construction
* Managing outsourced design teams and reviewing technical submissions/drawings
* Liaising with fire engineers and structural engineers to ensure compliance
* Identifying design changes early and communicating cost/programme impact
* Attending site for inspections and supporting project teams across multiple live projects
* Supporting document control processes and coordinating O&M manuals
Qualifications
* Strong Design Coordinator / Design Management experience
* CAD knowledge and ability to interpret detailed technical drawings
* Experience liaising with consultants, contractors and engineering teams
* Commercial awareness
* Principal contractor experience essential
