Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled andpassionate Fee Earner with experience in general litigation to join ouresteemed inquest and public law team. As a key member of our team, you willhave the opportunity to support senior fee earners, attend client meetings andhearings, and independently manage your own caseload. You will play a vitalrole in assisting with funding and legal aid matters, as well as thepreparation and investigatory steps of coronial inquiries. Additionally, youwill have the opportunity to advise and assist clients with Human Rights andPersonal Injury claims, contributing to our mission of delivering justice andaccountability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support senior fee earners inall aspects of casework, including legal research, drafting legal documents,and attending hearings.
* Attend client meetings andhearings, providing expert advice and guidance on legal matters related topersonal injury and inquest proceedings.
* Independently manage a caseloadof personal injury and inquest cases, ensuring that all client matters arehandled with diligence, professionalism, and compassion.
* Assist with funding and legalaid applications, advocating for clients' rights to access justice andcompensation.
* Conduct thorough investigationsand prepare necessary documentation for coronial inquiries, ensuring that allrelevant evidence is presented accurately and effectively.
* Provide legal advice andrepresentation to clients on Human Rights and Personal Injury claims,advocating for their rights and interests with integrity and dedication.
Requirements:
* Qualified Solicitor with aminimum of 3 years PQE or equivalent experience in general litigation.
* Proven track record of handlingpersonal injury and inquest cases, with a strong understanding of relevantlegal principles and procedures.
* Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients andstakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
* Strong organisational andtime-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlinesin a fast-paced environment.
* Commitment to upholding thehighest standards of professionalism, ethics, and client care.
* Ability to work independently aswell as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
