Home support required for a married autistic woman whose husband is currently hospitalised. The support is purely for the employer and will include general light house chores such as hoovering, changing towels, cleaning the bathroom and basic house maintenance. The house is small, so tasks are not overwhelming and there are no pets. Some simple food preparation would be desirable as the employer has limited time to cook from fresh and likes to stock her fridge and freezer. In addition, time will be spent accompanying the employer to local shops when required and providing functional companionship.
Applicants must be of a cheerful disposition, reliable and have some awareness of autism/ADHD and therefore be flexible in their approach to both the employer and the hours worked (within reason).
There is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be male/female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 – 4.
