Business Consultant
with deep knowledge and expertise in the operations of
Central Securities Depositories (CSDs)
, particularly in the lifecycle of
Bonds and UK Gilts

If so, this role offers a unique opportunity to help design and develop a
Digital Securities Depository (DSD)
for the UK financial market infrastructure, translating traditional CSD services into a next-generation digital equivalent. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and regulatory bodies to ensure the DSD aligns with operational realities and market expectations - no prior experience in digital assets or blockchain required.
Responsibilities
* Provide subject matter expertise on the full lifecycle of Bonds and UK Gilts, including issuance, settlement, custody and corporate actions, to guide the design of the DSD
* Work closely with internal product, legal and technology teams to translate traditional CSD services into digital equivalents, ensuring compliance and market continuity
* Contribute to the target operating model for the DSD, defining participant roles, post-trade workflows and asset servicing processes
* Collaborate with ecosystem stakeholders (issuers, custodians, regulators) to validate assumptions, refine the solution and inform the product roadmap
* Support regulatory engagement to ensure the DSD aligns with evolving frameworks and guidelines
* Provide ongoing insights into operational and market requirements to ensure seamless integration with current financial infrastructure
Requirements
* Extensive experience working within or closely with Central Securities Depositories (CSDs) or similar financial market infrastructures
* Deep understanding of the lifecycle of Bonds and UK Gilts, from issuance to settlement and corporate actions
* Proven experience in defining or working with target operating models in the financial infrastructure space
* Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks affecting securities and CSD operations, ideally with UK-specific expertise
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders in a dynamic project environment
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Innovative and adaptable mindset, bridging the gap between traditional systems and digital transformation
* Familiarity with digital transformation concepts
* Written and spoken fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a bonus
