#### Role**Background to the position**Art Wise – Parenting through Creative Connections, is a newly designed project which seeks to support the wholefamily through an arts-based learning approach to parenting children who have experienced trauma, poor mentalhealth, social difficulties and/or behavioural difficulties.Funded through North Lanarkshire Council as part of the Families Here and Now Service and working in partnership withBarnardos, Action for Children and Home Start you will support with the delivery of creative and wellbeingactivities for families across North Lanarkshire.Through Impact Arts Art Wise provision within the FHANS you will support the facilitation of group work, one to oneand dyadic support to families within various community-based locations across North Lanarkshire.The type of provision/sessions provided will be dictated by the needs of the families as they are referred to theservice. You will be required to be able to adapt to the needs of the community and be willing to deliver tovarious groups/individuals across various locations throughout the duration of the funding period. You will beworking parents, kinship carers and their children in order, to support them to: better understand theirchild(ren)’s behaviour; develop tools to connect, communicate and support their child(ren) including approach(e.g. activities being led by the child; being curious), language and play activities; identify their own needsand develop coping strategies for themselves; connect with other parents, access peer support, and develop theirlocal support networks by linking in with other local organisations which can support other aspects of familylife e.g. benefits, welfare, food security, relationship support, nutrition etc.**Your Role**As Wellbeing Support Worker you will work alongside the Art Therapist to support families/parents to identify theirown needs and develop coping strategies for themselves; connect with other parents/families, access peersupport, and develop their local support networks by linking in with other local organisations which can supportother aspects of family life e.g. benefits, welfare, food security, relationship support, nutrition etc.#### Application notesA recruitment pack can be downloaded below.The deadline for applications is **Monday 29th September at 9am**.
