🧠 Senior Social Worker / Snr Practitioner - Mental Health (AMHP desirable)

💷 Pay Rate: Up to £36.00 per hour (Umbrella)
🗓️ Contract: 4-month secondment (Maternity Cover) - potential for extension

Are you a passionate and experienced social worker ready to take the next step? Join a committed mental health team in London for a 4-month secondment (maternity cover) with the potential to extend.
As a Senior Social Worker, you'll combine your clinical expertise, leadership skills, and compassion to support adults living with severe and enduring mental health challenges. This is a dynamic and rewarding role with real impact. 🌟
🧾 Key Responsibilities:
1. 🧑⚖️ Manage a reduced but complex caseload, including Care Act assessments, safeguarding, and court work
2. 👥 Act as Duty Manager on a rota basis, triaging referrals and managing safeguarding concerns
3. 🧭 Deputise for the Team Manager and support the daily running of the team
4. 🗣️ Be the social work voice in multi-agency meetings and decision-making
5. 🤝 Work closely with community mental health teams, healthcare partners, and voluntary organisations
6. 🌱 Mentor and supervise newly qualified social workers and apprentices
7. 🔍 Help screen and triage new referrals, ensuring effective and person-centred care
✅ What We're Looking For:
8. ✔️ Qualified Social Worker (SWE Registered)
9. ✔️ Experience working with adults in mental health services
10. ✔️ Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
11. ✔️ Confident in complex case management and safeguarding
12. 🧠 AMHP qualification - desirable but not essential
13. 🧑💼 Willing to commit to a Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm schedule
14. 📍 London-based or willing to travel to the area as required
