ADEY, the market leader in the provision of residential water treatment products for closed loop heating and cooling systems in the UK, is looking for a CAD Technician to join the team. The Role The SolidWorks CAD Administrator will be responsible for drawing updates and file management via PDM software. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of PDM systems, workflows and migration. The SolidWorks CAD Administrator will implement drawing office ECR changes as well as provide regular updates, and taking a pro-active approach when dealing with sometimes complex ECRs. Responsibilities * Working within PDM system for drawing updates, file management and supporting migration effort on to PDM vault as well as building on PDM workflows. * Producing technical illustrations for step by step I&S guides. * Managing drawing office ECRs, including updates to drawing packs, providing ECR progress updates, and proactively handling complex ECRs to ensure processes are followed. * Producing 2D drawings, building assembly models, and simplifying 3D models as required. * Provide ECR updates and take a pro-active approach when dealing with sometimes complex ECRs. * Prototyping / create visuals. * Responsible for time management of own workload. The Person The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas: * Previous experience in a similar role. * Solidworks PDM systems – experience and implementation. * ECR processes. * Solidworks or equivalent 3D CAD systems and the ability to generate 2D drawings. * Strong attention to detail, presentation skills, and a high standard of accuracy in all work. * Microsoft packages. * Written and oral communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects. * A level/BTEC or equivalent in Engineering or similar creative subject. * Drives results and continuous improvement. * A team player Desired but non essential experience in the following areas: * High-end rendered CAD imagery for marketing (brochures, pop-up banners for exhibitions, videos etc). * Creating visuals for concept approval of new ideas and producing technical graphs. * Support with technical reports/test procedures/templates and policy documents. * File and maintain non-electronic copies of technical documents including Certificates, approvals and ASME/EN/BS standards.
