Job Description

An Edinburgh based Charity is looking for a committed and experienced professional to lead the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed support services for young people and students affected by sexual violence across Edinburgh and the Lothians. You will work closely with the Senior Management Team to shape and implement a strategic service plan, with a strong focus on trauma-informed design, effective operational processes, and the wellbeing of both staff and service users.

A background and experience in a similar setting / previous role is essential.

Some essential criteria:

* Understanding of the gendered dynamics and broad ranging of impacts of sexual violence, including rape, sexual assault, child sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation.
* Able to articulate a trauma-informed approach, including in relation to complex trauma.
* Able to articulate a feminist analysis of gender inequality and sexual violence.
* Experience of providing individual counselling and/or support for survivors of sexual violence using a trauma-informed and survivor-centred approach.
* Qualification in counselling/psychotherapy at diploma level or above or equivalent.
* Qualification / Specialist training working with young people and families.
