Job Description
Hybrid role based in Bridgwater, requiring 3‑4 days on site per week. Mechanical HVAC Engineer supporting delivery of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across a major construction programme.
Responsibilities
* Support installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems on site.
* Provide technical support to construction teams to resolve installation issues.
* Review engineering drawings and specifications for site suitability.
* Identify and report installation or documentation issues promptly.
* Liaise with design and engineering teams to resolve technical queries.
* Support tracking of site issues and contribute to performance reporting.
* Assist in reviewing and implementing engineering changes on site.
* Help identify recurring issues and suggest practical improvements.
* Ensure work aligns with safety, quality, and project requirements.
Qualifications
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
* Experience working with HVAC systems within construction projects.
* Understanding of mechanical building services or industrial systems.
* Strong problem‑solving skills with a practical engineering mindset.
* Ability to communicate clearly with site and engineering teams.
* Good attention to detail when reviewing drawings and documentation.
* Collaborative approach with willingness to learn and develop.
* Ability to manage workload in a fast‑paced site environment.
* Experience in a highly regulated environment is a plus; nuclear experience is not essential.
