Our Room Manager looks after the educational and social development of babies and young children up to the age of five. Their primary duties include providing children with a safe environment to learn, helping them develop social and behavioural skills, and engaging them in age-appropriate play activities.

About the Nursery

Tops Wimborne Nursery is an 80-place Day Nursery & Pre-School located in Leigh Road, Wimborne. The nursery offers several extracurricular activities including Forest School, cooking classes, Boogie Mites, yoga, meditation, and more.

What does the role involve?

1. Manage and support the team of childcare workers and educators.
2. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure smooth workflow.
3. Mentor and train staff to uphold high standards of care and education.
4. Plan and deliver age-appropriate learning activities.
5. Organize daily routines balancing learning, play, and rest.
6. Create stimulating environments with engaging activities.
7. Develop individual learning plans for each child.
8. Maintain an organized room with effective resource use.
9. Set up activities and displays reflecting children's work and progress.
10. Ensure the team holds an Early Years qualification (Level 3 or higher).
11. Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
12. Have experience in an early years setting.
13. Possess good communication skills with children and adults.
