People & Culture Manager / HR Business Partner

We are partnering with a fast growing, digital first luxury retail business to appoint a People & Culture Manager to support both head office and retail operations across the UK.
This is a hands-on HR generalist role working closely with senior leadership to deliver practical, commercially focused people support across the full employee lifecycle. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a fast paced, customer focused retail environment and supporting store based teams as well as corporate functions.
This role suits someone who enjoys being close to the business, building relationships with managers, and balancing operational HR delivery with culture, engagement and organisational development initiatives.
The role
You will act as a trusted HR partner to leadership and store management teams, supporting day to day people matters while helping to shape and embed effective people practices across the organisation.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing the full employee lifecycle from recruitment through to exit
* Supporting store managers and head office leaders with employee relations matters
* Coaching managers on performance, absence, capability and conduct issues
* Supporting organisational change and growth initiatives
* Driving engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives
* Supporting reward processes, benefits and policy development
* Leading or supporting implementation of a new HRIS system
* Delivering training and development initiatives
* Ensuring HR processes are consistent, compliant and commercially aligned
About you
We are looking for a strong HR generalist with experience in retail or luxury retail environments, who understands the pace and expectations of customer facing operations.
You will likely have:
* 4+ years' HR generalist experience
* Experience supporting retail or luxury store environments
* Strong employee relations experience
* Experience working across multi site teams
* Confidence partnering with both operational managers and senior leaders
* A pragmatic, hands on and commercially aware approach
* CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
* Experience in hospitality, leisure, fashion retail or other customer driven environments may also be relevant.
