We are an established and growing construction company based in Bedfordshire, delivering high-quality projects across the South East. With a strong pipeline of secured healthcare schemes, we are now seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to strengthen our senior leadership team.
This position requires a strong main contractor background and proven experience delivering healthcare construction and refurbishment projects within live or regulated environments.
The Role:
As Contracts Manager, you will take overall responsibility for multiple projects across the healthcare sector, ensuring operational excellence from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
Key responsibilities will include:

Overseeing several live healthcare projects simultaneously
*
Leading and supporting Project Managers and site teams
*
Ensuring delivery against programme, budget, quality, and safety targets
*
Maintaining strong client relationships, including NHS Trusts and private healthcare providers
*
Managing risk, procurement strategy, and commercial performance
*
Driving compliance in line with healthcare regulations and HTM standards
*
Reporting regularly to Directors on project and financial performance
The Ideal Candidate:

Demonstrable experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager role
*
Strong track record delivering healthcare construction or refurbishment schemes
*
Background working for a recognised main contractor
*
Ability to manage multiple projects and teams concurrently
*
Excellent commercial acumen and programme management capability
*
Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
