We are looking for a Senior Developer or Architect who is ready to step into a high-impact leadership role without losing their connection to the code. You’ve likely led teams or held a "Head of" title before, but you’re happiest when you have one foot firmly in technical architecture and the other in developing people and processes.
In this role, you will be the driving force behind engineering excellence, taking full accountability for how we build, scale, and secure our products.
What You’ll Do
* Lead & Mentor: Guide a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical growth.
* Architect Solutions: Own the design and delivery of scalable full-stack web applications and e-commerce platforms.
* Drive Best Practices: Define what "good" looks like. You’ll implement and advocate for elite engineering standards across coding, testing, security, and observability.
* Strategic Integration: Oversee complex integrations, including RESTful APIs, webhooks, and third-party services, ensuring seamless API design.
* Cloud Strategy: Leverage AWS services to build and maintain robust, cloud-native architectures.
* Technical Stewardship: Balance the evolution of our monolithic systems with the strategic transition to microservices where appropriate.
Technical Expertise
* Full-Stack Architecture: Proven track record of delivering scalable web applications; e-commerce experience is a significant plus.
* Integration & APIs: Deep expertise in API design, third-party service integration, and managing asynchronous workflows (webhooks).
* Modern Web Stack: Comprehensive knowledge of modern frameworks, responsive design, and high-level performance optimization.
* AWS & Cloud-Native: Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and modern infrastructure patterns.
* DevOps Culture: Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing, and rigorous code reviews.
* Security-First Mindset: Advanced understanding of secure development, particularly regarding payment processing and sensitive customer data.
