About The Role
Please note that this is a part-time role working Thursdays and Fridays only, 15 hours per week. There is also a requirement to provide cover during holidays for our other care home in Penrith, Winters Park.
HC-One is seeking a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems is required, and IT skills are preferred. We value communication that is considerate and kind, whether engaging with residents or colleagues.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring our Residents live in a well-maintained environment through proactive inspections and record-keeping. Tasks may include replacing taps or mixer valves, fitting extractor fans, repairing windows, or decorating, all carried out with kindness and professionalism.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond appropriately. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional related training. You must be able to seek advice and escalate concerns when necessary.
