About the Team
The team is knowledgeable, friendly and supportive, with a wealth of contacts and experience within the extensive Mental Health community and provider network in Blaby, Oadby, Wigston and Harborough. They hold weekly Group Supervision Meetings to promote the best possible outcomes for the people we work with. All staff benefit from regular manager supervision, manageable workloads and support from specialist departments such as finance or legal services.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
* Have knowledge of social work methodologies, social care policies such as person‑centred approaches and asset‑based social work, and relevant legislation including the Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act.
* Have experience of effective assessment and risk management delivery, complex safeguarding, court of protection and multi‑agency/multidisciplinary working and/or hospital discharge processes.
* Have experience of partnership working with adults to identify and meet needs with creative and pragmatic solutions.
* Be a confident communicator skilled in diplomacy, persuasion, assertiveness, conflict management and able to build effective working relationships.
* Be able to work proactively individually but also as a team member.
* Have good prioritisation and time management skills and possess a valid UK driving licence or access to a vehicle.
* Meet the DBS enhanced check requirement for regulated activity.
