Position: Patient Transport Staff – Ambulance Care Assistant
Term: 1 x Full time position and 1 x Part time; (including evening work and weekend shifts)
Wage: starting £12.35 (probation) per hour, increases to £12.60. Plus annual bonus
Holidays: Pro-rata 28 days per year (including bank/ public holidays). Increases after 3 year; then again after 5 years

Direct Medical Transport is looking to recruit Ambulance Car Assistants. This will be a contracted hours and salaried post (full time is a minimum of 36 hours / part time is a minimum of 18 hours) based at our Head Office (Portrack Lane, Stockton).
GENERAL SUMMARY
Ambulance Car Assistants are responsible for the care and safe transportation of patients requiring non-emergency ambulance transport. Ensuring the timely transportation of patients to and from hospital appointments, inter-hospital transfers, discharge from hospitals, treatment centres, day units or other places of care.
At all times the post holder must ensure patient safety is paramount and the reduction in harm to patients, self, colleagues and others by assessing risks and adopting safe working practices.
