Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a HGV 1 Drivers to help support clients in the Newport area.
Hours of work:
* Monday to Friday roughly 45+
* Weekends also available only if requested.
Salary:
* Days - £17.93ph inclusive of holiday pay
The Role:
* Tramping
* General Haulage HGV 1 vehicles.
* Mainly trunking and trailer swaps, some curtain work maybe necessary.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
* Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
* To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
* To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
Essential Skills:
* Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat C+E licence.
* Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
* Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.
* Must have at least 6 months experience!
* Good communication skills.
* Good customer relations.
* Have a safe driving record.
* No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
* No DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
