Job Description
As a Senior Test Engineer (Lead Test Engineer) you will work on national security projects, ensuring automated testing is integrated from the start as part of a CI/CD lifecycle.
The Role
* Use a variety of technologies, focusing on open‑source tools and frameworks.
* Perform manual and automation software testing.
* Work with DevOps and agile methodologies (TDD, BDD, ATDD) and continuous testing through CI/CD pipelines, with manual/exploratory testing when needed.
* Design and implement automated test frameworks across UI & API.
* Work with Selenium, Cypress.io, WebDriver.io, Playwright, Cucumber, Robot Framework, Serenity BDD, Rest Assured, etc.
* Share new ideas with the QA team and help improve test frameworks and processes.
* Conduct non‑functional testing covering Security, Performance, Accessibility and Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT).
Qualifications
* Experience with manual and automation testing.
* Familiarity with open‑source testing tools and frameworks.
* Experience in DevOps and agile environments, applying TDD/BDD/ATDD.
* Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
* Experience conducting non‑functional testing (Security, Performance, Accessibility, OAT).
* DV clearance required.

Salary
Annual Salary: £40,000 – £70,000 GBP.
