Partner Brand Marketing Lead.
Responsible to: Head of Partner Brand Marketing.

Role overview:
The JD Marketing team puts the consumer at the heart of what we do creating impactful and engaging campaigns that elevate the JD brand and maximise consumer impact. The partner brand team is responsible for delivering campaigns in a cohesive and consistent way across JDs full eco system, driving growth through a close strategic partnership with our partner brands.
We are looking for an exceptional, strategic & commercially minded brand marketer to own and lead a group our key strategic partners .
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering how the se brands are presented, working with our multichannel (Social, Paid, CRM, Digital, Trade), retail, buying teams and agencies to bring th e brands and product ’s to life .
The role is hands‑on, candidates must be commercial, analytical and results driven, with a passion for brands, sports lifestyle and youth culture.
This marketing expert will be at the forefront of significant relationships for the JD brand, responsible for planning, strategy, reporting and the enhancement of marketing partnership for the assigned brands within the business.
Responsibilities
* Leadership of marketing strategy for assigned brands.
* Management of Partner Brand relationship development from a marketing perspective.
* Strategic ownership of budget – co‑creation in partnership with assigned brands utilising trade terms and any other available resources to develop an effective and impactful plan, working closely with JD marketing finance team.
* Control & monitor investment in line with brand activity & assigned budgets.
* Optimise budget across JD channels to drive awareness and conversion of Partner Brand campaigns.
* Work closely with the assigned brand and JD team to ensure relevant programme development with KPIs, objectives, critical path, roll‑out and wrap‑up reporting.
* Deliver ongoing analysis with clear understanding of ROI measurement and growth opportunities to be integrated into future planning.
* Drive growth/expansion strategy with Partner brand across UK/EU territories.
* Lead and motivate a team to deliver against Partner Brand Strategy and JD business goals.
* Work closely with key internal stakeholders, buying, merchandising, retail, VM and multichannel teams to optimise budget and deliver visually strong and engaging campaigns.
* Work closely with PR, activation/events, and Influencer teams to maximise output and awareness.
* Co‑creation and active management of assigned brand’s calendar/schedule of activity.
Skills and Experience
* Lead and empower team to achieve targets.
* Relevant experience in a senior marketing role working with & developing consumer brands on a global/regional/international level.
* Knowledge of brands, how they are managed, the methods and tools used to help define what a brand stands for, how it is communicated and how to help others working on or with the brand understand how to bring it to life in the most impactful way.
* Proven skills delivering brand growth through consumer initiatives – developing and managing brand marketing/communication campaigns with execution experience across the full marketing mix.
* Strong understanding of the touchpoint & media landscape relevant to JD consumers.
* Experience utilising research insights and presenting & deploying actionable recommendations.
* Adept at driving cross‑functional teams effectively, able to work in matrix organisations and with assigned brands.
* Able to navigate complexity and thrive in a fast‑paced environment, able to work under pressure.
* Outstanding project management experience, managing internal stakeholders, agencies, customers, and other external partners.
* Strong analytical problem‑solving skills. Demonstrated organisational, planning and analytical skills.
* An innovative thinker results‑oriented can understand how to achieve the ‘right balance’ to impact consumer perception.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills including brief & presentation writing.
* Creative problem‑solving mindset with the ability to leverage data to enhance creative solutions.
* Analytical, possesses the ability to apply data and insights to strategy to drive results.
* Budget – proven management & analytical skills, must be able to handle significant & complex budgets.
* Understanding and interest in sports lifestyle & youth culture preferred, coupled with a good understanding of the JD brand.
* Retail experience is an advantage.
