Job Title: Business Development Manager – CEM (Contract Electronics Manufacturing)
Location: On-site (UK) with regular travel to client sites
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 basic + bonus + benefits
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a well-established and growing Contract Electronics Manufacturer (CEM) provider. This is a key commercial role focused on driving new business growth, developing strategic client relationships, and expanding market presence across the UK.
You’ll be working in a technically led environment, engaging with OEMs and engineering teams to deliver tailored manufacturing solutions across PCB assembly and full turnkey services.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, target, and win new business opportunities within the CEM?EMS sector
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue growth targets
* Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, procurement teams, and technical stakeholders
* Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract negotiation and closure
* Collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
* Attend client meetings, industry events, and exhibitions across the UK
* Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Business Development / Sales role within the EMS/CEM industry (essential)
* Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and supply chains
* Experience working with PCB assembly (PCBA) is highly desirable
* Demonstrated success in winning new business and growing key accounts
* Commercially astute with strong negotiation and closing skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
