We are looking to recruit a Planning Manager to join our team based in our East Midlands region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for;
1. Obtaining planning permissions on all submitted applications through successful management of applications, liaising with the Local Planning Authority (LPA), internal team and external consultants.
2. Providing detailed planning appraisals on potential immediate land, looking for opportunities to maximise land bids.
3. Obtaining planning permissions and provide general Town and Country planning advice to the Technical Team and the wider business, where necessary.
4. Co-ordinating disciplines within the Technical and Land teams for the programming and submission of planning applications
5. Managing external consultants (e.g. architectural, landscaping, ecological etc) for the preparation of required reports/appraisals to support planning application submissions.
6. Liaising with Internal Planning Solicitor on the preparation of Legal Agreements.
7. Managing and co-ordinating s Schedules and Planning Conditions Schedules with the Planning Assistant and Technical Team.
8. Dealing with the LPA on complex planning matters and possible enforcement matters.
9. Attending (and organising) key team meetings with internal colleagues.
10. Attending Committee Meetings, public consultation events and community engagement with various interest groups.
11. Day to day management of time and tasks.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
18. To be a qualified Town Planner, either MRTPI or MRICS P&D
19. To have worked for a Local Planning Authority, house-builder or a consultancy with some private house-building experience
20. Working knowledge of project plans, report writing, material forecasts and budgets
21. Qualified in Planning to degree level or by equivalent experience
