Clinical Support Worker, Ward 2

Clinical Support Workers – 36.0 hours available, full or part‑time
We are recruiting Clinical Support Workers for Ward 2 at West Cumberland Hospital. We seek caring, dedicated, innovative and motivated workers to join our multidisciplinary team. Ward 2 is a 27‑bed Acute Medical ward where you will work closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
 * Provide a caring approach, excellent communication and deliver high standards of patient care.
 * Work a shift pattern of days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
 * Have a care certificate or be willing to undertake one.

Person specification
Qualifications
 * Level 3 vocational qualification or short courses equivalent to Level 3 caring duties, including competency workbook completion.
 * National Care Certificate or commitment to complete within 12 weeks of employment.
 * Numeracy and Literacy Level 2.
 * Undertaken relevant additional training for Clinical Support Workers.
Knowledge and Experience
 * Experience in health or social care.
 * Documentation and escalation of clinical observations.
 * Working knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
 * Robust, accurate, timely documentation skills.
 * Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality (GDPR).
 * Understanding of NHS and social care policies.
 * Experience of working in the Trust previously is an asset.

 * Adopt appropriate communication styles.
