Speech and Language Therapist Learning Disabilities & Autism Team

Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist healthcare service in Bradley. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities and autism, delivering high-quality therapy within a supportive and collaborative clinical environment. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and benefit from extensive training opportunities and professional development support.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Speech and Language Therapy assessments and interventions across the service
* Conduct specialist dysphagia assessments and management plans tailored to individual service users
* Support the Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in maintaining effective service delivery
* Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure care aligns with service users management plans
* Provide expert SLT advice and consultation to colleagues involved in service users care
* Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in line with statutory and organisational guidelines
* Promote the wellbeing, dignity, and interests of all service users
* Supervise junior staff members and students as directed by the line manager
* Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
Essential Requirements
* Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Speech and Language Therapist
* Membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
* Minimum of two years post-qualification experience
* Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including learning disabilities and autism
* Strong written communication and clinical documentation skills
* Experience supporting junior staff or students
