Overview
The Accommodation & Cleaning Shift Manager will be responsible for the smooth delivery of the cleaning shift. Reporting to the Cleaning Manager, the role ensures daily operational plans are fulfilled and that the team is in the right place at the right time to meet fluctuating guest demand while maintaining high operational standards and guest experience.
This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, so flexibility is required. You will support and coach the team to deliver a great experience and drive key metrics related to the Clean and Fault Free (CAFF) approach, holding the team to account to ensure standards are met. As with all roles at Butlin’s, no day will be the same and guest experience is the top priority.
Responsibilities
* Deliver the smooth operation of the cleaning shift and ensure daily goals and objectives are fulfilled.
* Coach and support the team to deliver a great guest experience and drive CAFF metrics.
* Ensure the team is properly allocated and tasks are carried out in the right place at the right time to accommodate fluctuating guest demand.
* Lead quality control checks on the Mobaro system and conduct feedback conversations.
* Provide necessary training and support to team members.
* Manage the initial 90-day program for new team members and oversee all onboarding and employee lifecycle activities, including PDPs, performance management, and formal HR processes.
* Set clear objectives and PDPs, support team surveys, lead action plans, uphold brand standards, and ensure health and safety regulations are met.
* Maintain high standards with experience leading both permanent and temporary teams; adapt quickly to changing needs and foster a culture of excellence.
About You / Qualifications
* Experience in a leadership role within a cleaning or similar environment.
* Ability to deliver CAFF standards and drive improvements in Guest and Employee NPS.
* Experience conducting quality checks and facilitating feedback discussions; capable of providing training and coaching.
* Strong focus on guest experience, team development, and delivering an excellence experience in a fun-filled environment.
* Proven ability to manage onboarding and lifecycle activities, including PDPs and performance management.
* Operational knowledge of managing cleaning or soft services teams; strong prioritisation and attention to detail; experience leading both permanent and temporary teams.
