Job Summary
The Assistant General Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment, providing leadership and support to the team while maintaining high standards of service and food quality. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in hospitality, culinary arts, and team management. The Assistant General Manager will assist in overseeing daily operations, staff training, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage daily operations within the restaurant or hotel environment.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
* Assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards.
* Lead and motivate the team to deliver exceptional service to guests.
* Train new staff members on food production techniques, serving methods, and hospitality best practices.
* Manage inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock.
* Collaborate with the General Manager to develop strategies for improving service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
* Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure a positive dining experience.
* Maintain records of food safety checks and kitchen operations.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
* Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food production processes.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in kitchen operations.
* Previous experience in serving or barista roles is advantageous.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
