MAINSAIL Group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Acquisition Program Manager to support the USAF Digital Cyber & Networks Directorate, located at Hanscom AFB, MA.
The Air Force Program Execution Office for PEO Digital (AFPEO/HN) manages over 220 programs for the United States Air Force (USAF) and foreign allies, focusing on modernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment.
This is a full-time position at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA.
Responsibilities:
1. Support cost and schedule reduction activities for acquisition and development efforts.
2. Provide program-level acquisition support to the Program Manager and IPT Leads to ensure successful program execution.
3. Assist in contract execution, analyze program health, and advise on cost, schedule, and performance.
4. Develop and support program status briefings for senior management.
5. Contribute expert inputs to RFPs, including system specs, SRDs, SOWs, and CDRLs.
6. Review acquisition documents for consistency and accuracy, including ADM, LCSP, APBs, Risk Management Plans, and milestone briefings.
7. Support and develop acquisition reports and ensure compliance with DoDI 5000.02.
8. Implement and execute acquisition processes in collaboration with government and contractors.
9. Provide non-technical program management guidance based on DoD directives and instructions.
10. Identify policy issues, interpret policies, and manage acquisition efforts.
11. Advise on best practices to improve processes, efficiency, and cost savings.
12. Assist in planning and evaluating acquisition strategies, including risk assessments and market research.
13. Maintain and update program risk management plans and facilitate risk meetings.
14. Prepare and review acquisition reports such as MAR, SAR, DAES, and APB.
15. Develop briefings, graphics, and reports to support program management.
16. Coordinate acquisition projects, review contractor deliverables, and support source selection processes.
17. Stay informed on DoD acquisition reforms and recommend policy revisions.
Qualifications:
* Top Secret DoD Security Clearance required.
* Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 12 years of experience, including 6 years in the DoD.
* Deep knowledge of systems acquisition and program management principles per DoDI 5000.02 and 5000.75.
* Ability to analyze and measure acquisition program effectiveness.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience in documentation and briefings.
