Job Responsibilities:
1. Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
2. Provide immediate and long-term nursing care within departmental, hospital, and regulatory standards.
3. Lead in organizing and delivering patient care.
4. Educate patients and their significant others about care and treatment.
5. Maintain professional growth and competency.
6. Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills.
7. Contribute to the productivity and cost-effectiveness of the hospital, department, and unit.
Qualifications:
* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
* No experience required; one year medical/psychiatric experience preferred.
* Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
* Basic computer skills for electronic communication, clinical, and administrative systems.
* Ability to complete electronic medical records training and demonstrate 80% accuracy on the competency test within 30 days of hire.
