🔧 Deskside & Technology Support Analyst (Contract) – Manchester 🔧
📍 Location: Manchester (on-site, 5 days/week)
📅 Duration: 6 months (ASAP start)
💷 Rate: £35/hour (Inside IR35, on payroll)
🛡 Clearance Required: Active SC Clearance
My client is seeking a highly motivated Deskside & Technology Support Analyst to join their team in Manchester. This is a site-based temporary role supporting end-users and managing 2nd line technical support within a fast-paced, professional environment.
What you’ll do:
• Manage and resolve all 2nd line incidents and requests in line with SLAs
• Troubleshoot desktop computing and telephony issues
• Deploy, track, and maintain IT hardware and assets
• Provide regular updates to users and escalate issues as needed
• Set up new sites or projects in the local region
• Maintain equipment rooms and conference facilities
• Act as an escalation point and support other team members
• Use ServiceNow for stock and ticket management
• Support the Desk Side Team Lead and provide holiday/absence cover
What we’re looking for:
✔ Minimum 4 years' experience in corporate IT support
✔ Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
✔ Experience exceeding Service Level Agreements
✔ Technical understanding of desktop infrastructure and services
✔ Working knowledge of Excel and data analysis
✔ Valid UK driving license (travel required across other offices)
Nice to have:
➕ Microsoft Certification
➕ ITIL V3/4 Foundation
➕ Experience with ServiceNow
➕ Prior customer service experience
