Description Role Purpose To Support the Spaceport and Aerodrome Operations Department (SAOD) in all aspects of aerodrome management within the department’s scope and to ensure that records and information active within the scope of the role are updated or disseminated in a timely manner. This is to include the administration and coordination of activities connected with, but not restricted to, Vehicle & GSE servicing, Aerodrome Inspections and Aerodrome remedial works. The role will also be required to support the airport fuel department as directed by line management. The role will also act as one of the Spaceport Coordinators for Spaceflight launch campaigns. The role will play a key part in the day-to-day running of the Aerodrome Operations Department and in so doing, supporting the airport’s wider commercial business. About the role A key component of the Spaceport & Aerodrome Operations department, the post holder will make a major contribution in coordinating activities as described above, in line with the Aerodrome and Spaceport Operations Manuals. What you'll be doing • Contributing to and maintaining data and procedures which will contribute to Aerodrome and Spaceport Operations, in line with CAL and Spaceport Safety Management Systems. • Supporting the SAOD in overseeing the airport Vehicle & GSE reactive & service schedule in collaboration with the Aerodrome & Spaceport Operations Coordinator. • Provide 1st-line audit services to the SAOD in accordance with current regulatory standards. • Collaborate in the maintenance of Aerodrome Inspection schedule and records. • Collaborate in the maintenance of Aerodrome Works schedule and records. • Support the SAOD with coordination of on-aerodrome special projects or events as required and as directed by the Airport Executive. • Act as a point of escalation for the airport Fuel Department in respect of equipment & facilities. • To develop and maintain a working knowledge of, but not restricted to, the following documents: • Fulfil the role of Spaceport Coordinator during spaceflight launch campaigns as appropriate. • To carry out any other task, within personal capability for the operational purpose of the airport and/or as requested the airport executive.
